New Release from Troubadisc

The new release from Troubadisc is now available on the DCD Records site. It's a recital of Schumann's piano music, more than ably performed by Wolfram Lorenzen. The release is an SACD, giving you even more life-like audio content. And it also can be played on a regular CD player.

As promised, I've posted an audio preview for you. Just click on the link below.

Schumann: Traumes Wirren, from "Fantiasiestucke, Op. 12"

Next on the docket is recording our next holiday music special podcast. I'm hoping to have that completed and posted by the weekend.

The big job today is gathering material for the next DCD Classical 'Cast -- the podcast that I write and produce for our merry band of labels. The next two programs will focus on the Christmas music we have available (no, that's not me on the left scoping out holiday music).

If you haven't subscribed to our free podcast, you can do so through iTunes or by clicking here. I'm looking to have it posted by mid-week.

So what's involved with a small operation like DCD Records? Maximizing exposure, for one thing. We've just opened an Amazon.com store, and yours truly gets to enter all the data. Tonight I added our VGo Records listings. Of course our full catalog is available at DCDRecords.com, and our classical titles can be found at Arkivmusic.com. And we'll explore other options as well. Is there an online location you regularly frequent that we could place product with? Let me know!

Welcome to the DCD Records Report. As it says at the top of the page, this is the corporate blog for DCD Records. We'll try to keep you posted on upcoming performances by the independent artists we carry at DCD Records. We'll also use this space to tell you about new releases. And we'll take you behind the scenes here at DCD Records.

We're a small operation. In addition to my responsibilities as president, I'm pretty much responsible for creating all the content you see and hear on our website, as well as working with our labels, producing recordings, and many other things besides.

Finally, consider this a forum for you. Got questions? Suggestions? Insights? Please leave a message. I look forward to our conversations.

Ralph Graves,
President, DCD Records
